Nilab Rahyar Tolton represents clients in all aspects of complex commercial and employment litigation in trial and appellate courts. Her practice includes matters involving unfair competition, class action defense, business torts, consumer credit, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and trade secret misappropriation. Before joining the firm, Ms. Rahyar Tolton practiced in the Orange County office of Jones Day from 2010 until 2018.
Ms. Rahyar Tolton received her Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School, where she was selected as the Commencement 2010 Class Day Student Speaker. In law school, Ms. Rahyar Tolton served on the Harvard Graduate Council, the 2010 Class Committee, the Harvard Law School Student Government, and the Executive Board of the Harvard Law California Club. Ms. Rahyar Tolton earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine in 2005, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, was admitted to the Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society, the Sociology Honors Program, and was awarded the Dean’s Order of Merit Award and the McGillin Scholarship for Academic Excellence.
Ms. Rahyar Tolton is an officer and founding board member of the Harvard Law School Association of Orange County and serves on the board of the Harvard Law School Women’s Alliance. She is an adjunct professor at Western State College of Law, where she teaches pre-trial civil litigation.
