James A. Spear obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Chapman University Fowler School of Law, and graduated from Pepperdine University with a double major in Business Administration and Economics. Mr. Spear’s practice focuses on business and employment litigation, specializing in defending employers against wage and hour claims, employee misclassification, wrongful termination, meal and rest break claims, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Spear enjoyed a successful career as a Series 3 licensed commodity broker, trading oil and gas futures and options for eight years. As an avid sports fan and athlete, Mr. Spear played on the men’s club soccer team at Pepperdine University, and in his free time can often be found at Dodger Stadium cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Mr. Spear is licensed to practice law in both California and Missouri.
